Pastor Webb’s Philosophy of Counseling
The Holy Scriptures, the writings of the Old and New Testaments, are the very Word of God, verbally inspired in all parts and therefore wholly without error as originally given of God and are altogether sufficient in themselves as the only rule of faith and practice. The Bible is wholly true in everything it affirms, whether its affirmations concern doctrine, Christian practice, history, geography, science or behavior sciences.
In genuine salvation, through the use of the Scriptures, the believer is completely equipped to handle any situation in life in a way that pleases God and benefits the believer leading toward the goal of joyful Christ-likeness. Paul tells Timothy (2 Tim 3:16,17) that the Scriptures “thoroughly furnish” or completely equip the person of God so that he or she will be able to handle any situation in a way that pleases God. The Scriptures are completely able to equip the believer for any life situation. For further information on this philosophy of counseling, visit http://www.nanc.org. Appointments for Counseling
Normally, Pastor Webb only counsels members or those who regularly attend Central Baptist Church. If you do not regularly attend Central, and want to pursue counseling with him, you must fulfill one of two requirements. You must either attend the Sunday services at Central Baptist Church during counseling (you are not required to join or tithe to Central Baptist during this time) or your pastor must attend counseling with you as a learning, contributing counselee. Pastor Webb reserves the right to choose which option is best for the non-attending counselee. To set up an appointment on a Tuesday afternoon/evening or Saturday morning, contact Susan Dubach at (219) 763-7690. There is no financial cost for this counseling. Counselees will have regular homework assignments that are designed to help them live out the reality of the life-giving Word of God in their lives.
